पाटन दरवार स्क्वायर क्षेत्रभित्रको भीमसेन मन्दिरको पुनर्निर्माण शुरु , मन्दिर पुनर्निमाणका लागि एभरेष्ट बैंक लि. का अध्यक्ष बी.के. श्रेष्ठबाट रु. १ करोड सहयोग प्रदान
ललितपरको पाटनमा रहेको श्री भीमसेन मन्दिर पुर्ननिर्माण सरोकार समितिका अध्यक्ष कृष्णलाल महर्जनले यही असार २५ ग ते प्रेस विज्ञप्ति प्रकाशित गरी सो मन्दिर पुनर्निर्माण कार्य शुरु भएको बताउनु भएको छ । पाटन दरबार क्षेत्र भित्र रहेको भीमसेन मन्दिर , पाटनको मात्र नभई उपत्यकाकै नमुना धरोहरको रूपमा रहेको छ। चार सताब्दीभन्दा पुरानो ईतिहास बोकेको धार्मिक तथा पुरातात्विक महत्वको यो संस्कृतिक धरोहरमा ,२०७२ सालको महाभूकम्पको धक्काले क्षति पुग्न गयो।
पगोडा शैलीमा निर्मित यो भीमकाय मन्दिर, दिनानुदिन जिर्ण बन्दै , छिमेकको जीउ धनको लागि खतराको कारक बन्दै गयो। हाल मंगल टोल सुधार संघ , ललितपुर उद्योग बाणिज्य संघ , ललितपुर महानगरपालिका र नेपाल सरकार , पुरातत्व बिभागको संयुक्त प्रयासमा स्थानीयको सहभागितामा यस मन्दिरको पुनर्निर्माण गर्ने उदेश्यले श्री भीमसेन मन्दिर , पुनर्निर्माण सरोकार समिति गठन भई पुनर्निर्माण कार्य प्रारम्भ भइसकेको छ।
यस कार्यमा काठमाडौँ भ्याली प्रेजरभेसन ट्रस्टको प्रभिधिक सहयोग रहेको छ।
सुन लेपन बाहेक रु ४ करोड ९३ लाखको अनुमानित लागतमा सुरु गरिएको पुनर्निर्माण परियोजनामा ललितपुर नगरपालिकाले रु. १ करोड र प्रदेश ३ सरकारबाट रु. ५० लाख सहयोग हुने भएको छ।
स्थानीय सहयोग समन्वय गर्न ललितपुर उद्योग बाणिज्य संघ र मंगल टोल सुधार संघ प्रयासरत रहेको अवस्थामा पाटन पुर्खौली भएका एभरेष्ट बैंंक लि. का अध्यक श्री बि. के. श्रेष्ठले पाटनका आफ्नो समयका चिनिएका पिता, साहु गणेशलाल श्रेष्ठको सम्झनामा ललितपुर महानगरपालिकाका प्रमुखम चिरीबाबु महर्जन , सो समितिका सं ललितपुर उद्योग वाणिज्य संघका अध्यक्ष तथा सो सो समितिका संयोजक कृष्णलाल महर्जन , मंगलटोल सुधार समिति अध्यक्ष तथा उक्त समितिका उपाध्यक्ष किरणमान प्रधान र केभीपीटीका निर्देशक तथा सो समिति सदस्य
डा. रोहित रंजितकारको उपस्थितिमा रु. एक करोड सहयोग गर्नुभएको सो विज्ञप्तिमा उल्लेख छ ।
“भिन्द्यको नाममा सहयोग समर्पण गर्न पाउनु मेरो अहोभाग्य हो। भीमसेन पाटनको मात्रै नभई सम्पूर्ण नेवारहरुको इष्ट देव हो । यही मन्दिरमा मेरा पिताजीले आफ्नो समयमा सहयोग गरेका थिए । तत्पश्च्यात हाम्रो परिवारले सदैव सहयोग समर्पण गर्दै आएको छ । यो समर्पण हाम्रो पूर्खौली अभिभारा पनि हो” – सो रकमको चेक हस्तान्तरण गर्नुहुदै एभरेष्ट बैंंक लि. का अध्यक्ष बी.के. श्रेष्ठले भन्नुभयो ।
चेक लिए पछि श्री भीमसेन मन्दिर पुनर्निर्माण सरोकार समितिका संयोज श्री कृष्णलाल महर्जनले श्रेष्ठलाई धन्यबाद दिंदै “हाम्रा पूर्खौली सांस्कृतिक धरोहरको पुनर्निर्माण स्थानीय श्रोतबाटै गर्न सक्ष्यम छौँ भन्ने हाम्रो सोचाईले मूर्त रुप लिएको देख्दा यस समितिका सम्पूर्ण टोली हर्षित छौँ। व्यक्तिगत स्तरबाट आएको यती ठुलो सहयोगले हामीमा उर्जा र आत्मविश्वास बढाएको छ” भन्नुभयो ।

The Bhimsen Temple, situated in Patan Durbar Square is the landmark Temple in the whole of Kathmandu Valley. This heritage temple with a history that dates back to almost 4 centuries was hit badly by the 2015 earthquake.
Bhimsen Temple is a massive structure and the damaged structure stood as a risk in the neighborhood for the past four year. Until recently when Mangal Tole Sudhar Sangh, Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lalitpur Metropolitan City and The Department of Archeology got together to form Shree Bhimsen Mandir Rebuilding Committee with the objective of rebuilding the temple with local contribution and resources. Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust remains the technical partner in this undertaking.
With the Lalitpur Metropolitan City contributing Rs. Ten Million and the Province 3 State Government also pledging to contribute Rs. Five Million, the rebuilding process has started and contributions are underway. Total projected cost for rebuilding is estimated at Forty-nine Million three hundred thousand, which does not include the cost of gold work.
To facilitate this process, Mr. B.K. Shrestha, Chairman of Everest Bank Ltd, who hails from a renowned merchant family of Patan has stepped ahead to contribute Ten Million rupees for the purpose in memory of his Late father Sahu Ganesh Lal Shrestha, a renowned merchant of Patan of his time.
I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to extend support in the name of Bhindya. Lord Bhimsen is not only a deity of Patan but of all Newars. My father, Sahu Ganesh Lal had extended support to this temple during his times. Then after, our family has remained associated to this temple in various capacities. I take this opportunity as my ancestral duty, Said B. K. Shrestha.
A cheque amounting Rs. One Crore, issued in the name of Shree Bhimsen Mandir Rebuilding Committee was handed over by Mr. Shrestha in presence of:
